What gives you energy?
In addition to regular classes, you can discover your talents in our Talent Classes – at the Lyceum this is called the Campus Program.
You choose what gives you energy:
For everyone:
- Sports
- Football
- Atelier (creative)
- Studio (music)
Especially for Lyceum students:
- Spanish
- Theatre
This way, you learn new things, boost your self-confidence, and discover talents you might not have known you had.
And sometimes that talent even goes beyond school: for example, in 2025 our Football Class reached the semi-finals of Olympic Moves indoor football in The Hague – an achievement we are super proud of!
Musical & parties
Together with the Hofplein Theater in Rotterdam, we are producing the musical Mulan this year. Every Friday afternoon, students rehearse in theater and music classes until they are ready for the big stage.
In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to simply have fun and celebrate:
- the first-year party, especially for newcomers
- the big school gala, where the whole school comes together in a festive atmosphere.
First year of secondary school
Introduction week
In the first year, you start with an introduction week full of sports, games, and creative activities. This way, you get to know your class, your mentor, and the school well – and you’ll quickly feel at home.

Are you coming on a trip?
Excursions & trips
At Farel, we regularly go out together. In the lower years, you and your class visit impressive places like Naturalis and Corpus. In addition, you go on a school trip every year: one year you experience a magical day at the Efteling, the next year you race through the roller coasters at Walibi. The TTO students travel to England every year to speak the language and experience the culture.
In the second year, you even cross the border for an excursion to the historic city of Aachen. And then there’s the legendary project week in year 4 – a midweek full of culture and adventure in cities like Paris or Luxembourg.
And these are just a few examples… because at Farel, there’s always something to experience!
