Building success together at school

The mentor is the contact person between the school and parents. If anything arises in the meantime, he will contact home.
We expect parents, in turn, to keep the school informed of any developments that may affect their child's academic performance and well-being.

Together for good education

Parents are always welcome to contact the school and, if necessary, make an appointment for a personal meeting with the mentor.

To keep parents as well informed as possible about their child's progress during the school year, students receive a report three times a year. Through the portal, parents can monitor their child's progress in the meantime.

Parents in conversation

At every Portus school, there is a sounding board group in which parents/guardians of students are represented. At the beginning of each school year, parents/guardians are invited to sign up for this. Are you interested in participating in the meetings of the sounding board group? Then please contact us at:  fc-administratie@cvo-portus.nl.

Branch Management

Participation Council

The Farelcollege has a participation council (MR), in which staff, parents, and students are represented. The position of the MR can be compared to the works council in the business sector. The MR consults with the general management and has advisory or approval rights regarding important decisions.

Contact

The participation council can be reached via fc-mr@cvo-portus.nl.

Mission of the MR
The participation council of the Farelcollege aims, through its functioning, to contribute to the primary task of the school: providing quality education.
We strive to represent and promote the interests of all those directly involved with the school, such as students, staff, and parents.

We do this based on the Christian norms and values that our school stands for and on the behavioral anchors for good participation. We promote openness, mutual consultation, and equality, and guard against discrimination. We maintain an active attitude within the school and keep good contact with both our constituency and the school management. In addition, we contribute to the development of clear processes, sufficient support, content, and feasible plans.
